We have a renter - by 4 pm PST - hopefully it will be a done deal. Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We ordered a camera!!!! Yep - we will now fit in with everyone else - including this elderly couple we saw on a hike in ID - we're getting a Nikon D40 - from Costco's website - with a discount. (Sale is over Sunday - so log on to Coscto.com if YOU want to be part of the Nikon Nation.)
And - I think my husband lost his mind - because we bought the camera pre-renter news. And - I said, "Well - how are we going to pay for this?" For the first time in our marriage I heard him say - "I don't know - we'll just put it on the credit card." I thought he was kidding. He was serious. Now that the country is in a major credit catastrophe - we've decided that, like the camera, we're tired of being left out and we better join the bandwagon. (Kidding on that point - the camera purchase isn't going to cause us a catastrophe.)
The camera shipped this morning - so I'll have it in time for my next trip (more on that later).

You should have called me - I would have sold you my camera!
I'm incredibly happy with the quality of the pictures I got in Idaho but I decided to return the camera and get the Nikon D40x with a slightly upgraded lens - I know, I know, my wife also thinks I'm nuts.
We had a great time hiking, eating, shopping etc... with you guys. Hope to make it to Huntsville (maybe early next year)
