My new organization system for Emma's closet.
The rules: You can take out a new box when you've put away the old one. You can't own more than fits in the boxes.
Words can't express how fabulous this is. My quality of life has just improved by a factor of about 100. No more feeling like I wish I could throw away about 80% of her toys. No more piles of toys that don't really see use. No more frustrating clutter. No more difficulty locating the other glass slipper.
Emma loves it too. Our favorite story to accompany the project: "The Berenstein Bears and the Messy Room" (mine from childhood).
I got so excited I decided to do my closet. (It's where I keep all my clothes, and it has only shelves, no drawers - not a great set up for staying pile free.)
