Monumental stuff

Wow - it's been almost a month since the last post. Some monumental stuff has happened in these last 3 weeks.

1) I finished my tutoring school year. My first experience as a part-time working mom. Overall it was great!! I meant to take some pictures of the baking I did for my students and the cute packaging I put it in, but I didn't. I made each one a study snack pack: gum plus home-made chex mix, candied walnuts, chocolate chip cookies.

2) My sister Heidi had her baby, Charlotte Leah Nagel, Tuesday May 29th. David, my brother-in-law, did an AMAZING job text messaging us all the important updates throughout the day. Baby and mom are healthy and fabulous. Charlotte is adorable. More to come on this.

3) My dad has left for a short deployment to the Middle East. I had the privelege of driving him to the airport last Tuesday. This seemed fitting to me, since I remember my dad doing the same for me before a few of my big trips. We stopped for breakfast. It was a good time. He was uncharacteristically relaxed and not at all rushed. Please pray often for his safety.
