Retail Therapy

Some girls, when they make an impulse buy, go for shoes......or clothes.......or handbags. Not me. Don't get me wrong. I love shoes, clothes and handbags. But those purchases are usually well thought out, planned for.

No when I make an impulse buy, I go for:

CHRYSANTHEMUMS!
and not just 1, or 10, but maybe 25....or 30? and maybe some pansies and johnny jump-ups and snapdragons?
----------------------------------
I had finished my major tutoring deadline, and finished the living room project, it was Scott's last day of a HUGE work project that required crazy hours, Emma was finally over her virus, and the last few weeks had been exhausting and conusming and in total flux, leaving me feeling a little despondent, and I couldn't go to yoga because Scott uncharacteristically forgot something and I had to run it to him at work, and Emma was at preschool, so I found myself in Home Depot (to buy one door-stopper and one can of spray paint) all alone, which is so unusual, and I decided to wander into the garden department because it's been ages since I've bought flowers or payed any attention to my yard, or had time to meander without a mission & purpose through any store, and these all happened to be about a dollar each...and well.....????????? I had a weak moment.
------------------------------
It would have worked out ok too. I did my house work and the responsible pruning & cleaning my garden needed the rest of Thursday morning and during Emma's nap. Friday was looking good for planting, until I got sick Thursday night and didn't leave the couch until late Saturday night, forgetting that the flowers were in the front yard, not the bunny-free zone of the back yard.

Sigh....poor johnny jump ups. !@#^#!$@ bunnies!!!!!!

I knew there was something I loved about Australia. I would LOVE to shoot bunnies!!! Love, love, love it. The bunnies here are so aggressive, they even ate my ROSE BUSHES. We had to cage them (the bushes) until the plants were hardy. Too bad it's against the law for us to cage the bunnies. sigh...........
