This cartoon made me laugh out loud! It perfectly captures Emma right now. Last tv season we ended up following American Idol fairly faithfully. Emma loved it and has big plans for her future, but, her world is defined by church songs and VBS sign language choreography. Yesterday morning I was entertained for the better part of an hour while Emma sang and danced to all the Vacation Bible School songs.
Some days she likes to put on her ballet clothes. Other days she is a princess.
She likes for us to announce her: "Ladies and gentlemen now come the dancing princesses!!!!" (She usually performs with some imaginary friends.) Then after a solo performance, which includes very gracious and dramatic hugging and kissing and waving to those in the audience, she will call us up to the stage: "Mommy - please come up for your dancing turn."
