Ok - this is a big pet peeve of mine : I can't stand it when television news anchors wear very, very high heels and can't manage to point their toes at all. They sit there with legs crossed, or worse, both legs jutting out in front - and feet flexed. Oprah is a major offender in this category.
It may seem trivial, but why oh why, when multimillions are spent on the visual impact, style, wardrobe, etc... of a tv show such as Good Morning America or Oprah, is there no attention paid to that finishing touch. Those flexed feet with giant heels looked unrefined, stiff, and oaf-ish. (Did I just make up a word?) It's very - Cinderella's evil stepsisters foolishly jamming their feet into the glass slipper that just isn't made for them.
Now - I tried to capture some images from the web to demonstrate this effect, but surprise, surprise, all I found were foot fetish websites. Gross!
So - next time you get the chance - compare Oprah's feet to Kelly Ripa's. You'll see what I'm talking about.
