sick days

We sure have had a lot of them lately. The doctor says this is normal when you make a cross country move. Your body is not used to all the different strains of cold and flu, so you get them all and they hit you harder than normal. Fun times!

So - here are some things you might see around our house on a sick day:

After discovering Daddy's old cowboy hat from Disneyland Fronteir Land,
have Daddy use some old climbing rope to make a lasso.

And then use the hat and lasso to play along as you watch
Mickey Mouse Club House characters round up some numbers.

Ask Daddy to draw you some pictures.

Have Daddy use the same climbing rope remnant
to make you marching band ready.

Have Mommy get out all the craft cabinet items
you've forgotten about and make sparkling ribbon-y things.

Dream up your own recipe and beg your mom to let you try it.

Add sugar to frozen blueberries and stir vigorously.

Next roll lemon, scrape zest, squeeze in juice.

Now microwave and mash.

Next clean up spatter

Pour it on top of Mommy's new bread
and put a sliced up strawberry on top.

If you're really, really lucky, when you're sick, Grandma comes to visit. She brings stories like Fancy Nancy and reads them to you. She also tells your Mommy to give you lots and lots of popsicles. Mommy might insist on taking you to the doctor anyway, but don't worry. The doctor will also say you need lots and lots of popsicles.

I love your expression. I think I had more fun listening to and watching you read than Emma did, which is really saying something, since she LOVES it!!!! Miss you!!!!
