Fall review

Before the deluge of Christmas related blogs, a look back at fall home-making.

Well, you read about the farmer's market and the Persimmons. Before that it was pumpkins. Not our own. The ones we planted bloomed and then shriveled instead of turning lush and fruiting. And, I didn't even bake my own since my food processor completely bit the dust. And really, canned was just fine!

pumpkin soup, drop bisquits, asparagus
(later improved upon with bratwurst)

and rosemary focaccia
I love it when it turns out just like the picture!!!

And THANKSGIVING:

First we celebrated at the preschool feast:

Each student made a placemat, which was set out for them to find. A big deal since there were 200 preschoolers feasting that day. Each class also made a different kind of hat for each student to wear. Each class made one item for the feast. Room 4 (Emma's class) made cornbread, and Indian Hats. Room 5 kids were Pilgrims.

And since Mommy was sick, Emma dressed herself for the feast

Sometimes this works out better than others.

The rest of the pictures will have to wait, since they're not uploaded and my camera batteries are dead.
